Well ive left edmonton, alberta canada and am in Toronto for a week, it has been an amazing year here in canada and next week when im back in london i will do a review blog on my year here, theres been ups and down so should be an interesting read.

Ive finished one of my scrtips and am well on to the 2nd which is sort of a continuing of my first so we shall see how that one goes.

Ive written a one act play

Well my non existent readers, i update again for no one, but eventually there will be some more im sure.

I've just finished writing a one act play called labels, well its not completely finished but it main structure is done, just tweaking needing to be done. Its very exciting to see it coming together, it isn't perfect, but eventually it will be i hope by the end of the day it will be a strong piece of writing.

Labels is about how society sees us, whether it be by sex, color, sexuality etc and looks at how people a labeled but are really never known why they are who they are, this script explores that and lets people i hope realize that people are who they are for a reason and you either have to like it or lump it. I promise to think of a better synopsis i let you know it lol

Hey Readers of the internet world

well what can I say I'm coming to the end of my stay here in Canada, ive met some wonderful people who i will hope will stay friends for life, trouble is when tend to leave the picture you get forgotten about, so we shall see if that happens. There is alot to do in my last week and a bit, from making sure house is clean and tidy and ready for my friend to move in to finishing my time at disney, im soooooooo sad to be going, i sort of tear up each time i think of it, ive had a wonderful time here, so sad to see it ending. But I can look forward to moving back home, Im moving in with another couple, who seem really friendly and excited,, there are all ready plans to see shows, go out and have a jolly good time. I will be meeting up with friends old and new so its exciting, but still sad to be leaving the life i once knew.

Im still working at fringe seen some good shows and some bad and plan to see rocky horror on thur, i will let you all know what i think, that is for sure.

Another Day, Another Desitiny

London plans are going well. I move back in 18 days, very excited. Have finalised the place im staying and what shows I wish to see on my return, I even plan to meet some new and old friends when I'm back, so excited!!! Acting from here in canada is quiet at mo. But i have been seeing some fringe shows, so far Triple Platinum and Sequins, both amazing shows, drag mind you but great shows. Today I'm working at the fringe, love being surrounded by fellow performers, makes me feel so alive. I miss not doing it. Tomorrow i see Sherlock Holmes the musical, I'm skeptical but we shall see.

Well that is about it at the moment thought I would keep you updated on the progress and I look forward to chatting soon.

Ok, no one is following me yet, and i dont know how to get people to follow me, so I'll keep posting till they do.

Well I had my call back, and success. I was told i had a spot at the showcase, wooo ho, bad news I wont be in Canada at that point, so I need to do some thinking. Good thing is the casting women said even if i only give a few weeks notice she would find me space. So good result.

Well hopefully there are gonna be plenty more opportunities for me to shine,

Follow Up

So I am just home from my audition. It went well my friend Joy (who you can follow athttp://ofamityandallure.typepad.com/) came with me, I was not sure how I would feel when she came in with me, but it was so comforting that I had the warm and happy smile looking at me, gave me a sense of confidence which is what i needed, I was so nervous. I could'nt stop going to the bathroom, I think Joy and everyone must have thought i had to liver problem, but na, nerves just sometimes get the better of me and I am on and off the loo (toilet) all day, shame I cant be nervous everyday I would loose so much weight lol.

Well the results of the audition are promising, I have managed to get through to the next stage. This means I have to sing another song and the Casting Director has given me some lines to make in to jingles, I'm not sure she looked at them, they don't even rhyme its going to be a challenge. The only thing I do not like about this is, if selected i would need to put down a $385 CD deposit on the course in Toronto next may, do I want to do this? is it a con? if people are reading this let me know what you think, because in all honesty I'm concerned. Questions will be asked tomorrow. The way I'm looking at it is: its experience doing auditions, and guys guess what? I need it, London is calling and I want to be on that stage. The worlds my oyster i just need to grab it with two hands and embrace it.

So tomorrow a new day, another audition and work its going to be a busy one, fingers crossed something promising comes from it, but as with anything you never know until the day.

Showcase Worldwide

Well tonight, August 8th, 2009 I have an audition. I guess it's a big one as apparently it's in front of some big time casting people in TV and film; we'll see. I have a monologue to do as well as a song. It took me a while to think of the right song and monologue and I don't think I've picked the right ones, but hey, they only gave me 2 days notice. I'm guessing you want to know what I'm doing... The song is "Oh What A Beautiful Morning" from Oklahoma and my monologue is from "The Libertine." We'll see how it goes, and of course if anyone is reading this, I will let you know how it went - both on my part then the final outcome. So I'm off there now, wish me luck!

It's All About Me!!

People of the online world: I am up for it. What I mean when I say "up for it" is, looking for my goal and purpose in life. Why am I here in this world? I have a saying "if the world didn't suck, we'd all fall off" and I am sticking to it. The great thing about that is , I may think it but it doesn't mean I won't do anything in my power to stop it from sucking. I guess this little blog will document my struggle and determination to find this PURPOSE.

So, I'm 26, and from the UK. I am currently in Canada with 3 weeks left here; it's a big change. I'm been moving about for about 3 years- first I was on a cruise ship, then on tour and then in Canada. I have experienced a lot in my short 26 years and I want to do a lot more. As a performer, and I do see myself as one, I may not be seen as successful right now, but I plan to be. I don't necessarily want to be famous, as they say (even though money would be nice), I just want to do the job I love and that's performing.

When it comes to performing, I guess the big 3 criteria casting directors and scouts look for is that TRIPLE THREAT and in all honesty I am certainly not one of those. I can act and I believe I am a good actor, with singing, I can hold my own if i need to and with dancing: not a fucking chance in hell! LOL. But I have drive and ambition, isn't that enough?

So, musical theatre is out, well- that's cool by me. I have friends who do it and it's far too stressful. TV and film is where I wanna be, and have done a little of already, so that is the path I want to follow, and the path I guess I want you to follow with me here. There will be ups and downs, and likely more downs in this business, but hey, I expect it at least.

Of course, I have a normal day to day job; I am an Assistant Manager of an amazing company but, unfortunately, I may have to leave if I can't get my transfer to a London store. But this is life, as I said before: it sucks, we just have to get on with it.

So feel free to follow me on my journey in this big bad world we call life, and I hope it will make you laugh and cry and feel a little how it is to be me. We may never meet, or we might. If not thank you for being a small part of my little world that I call my own.
